Overseas Distributor of Chance GlassTaken from Tableware International, 1973, this list shows the entire worldwide distribution of Chance domestic glassware.
1931 OrlakAn Orlak feature from the 1931 Studio Yearbook. The recessed handles are noticeable, which indicates the later models. The iconic octagonal shape was developed by Harold Stabler. Photo courtesy Paul Stirling
1936 Spiderweb, Goodden, Lidded potA 1936 feature in the 1936 Studio Yearbook. What is interesting is the lidded pot in the centre (p36 CA), which has not been identified before. Also, the Goodden ashtray quotes the colours available as being fluorescent green (probably uranium glass), dark signal green, amber and smoked. Also note the ribs on the cigarette rests are in the opposite direction (p41 CA). Photo courtesy Paul Stirling
Durographic rangeA very revealing price list that shows the ranges produced by Duroray. Note the triangular tray and the square tray with bevelled corners. Otherwise, these trays are very similar to those made by Chance, including the Olive and Ice-cream trays.
